SSR1 with blue polishing pad speed on pc?

I have just received my edge2k blue polishing pad for my pc . I will follow up tommorow with the polishing pad with ssr1. If you remember I ssr2.5 the car about 2 weeks ago. What speed should I work the SSR1?

I spin mine on the highest setting. I don`t have a PC my orbital is a De Walt. I like to get a good spin going then work the polish well into the paint.

I also like to clean my pad regularly as I move around the car. I have a MFT and small pad brush with me at all times

Re: SSR1 with blue polishing pad speed on pc?

I almost always use the Edge 2K pads and never run them on less than speed 6. While using SSR1 or 2 I always work the polish in the center area of the panel for a while before moving to the edges because it will splatter if I move to the edge of the panel too quickly. SSR 2.5 and others like M-105 don`t seem to splatter as easily.

I also use the 6" Edge 2K pads on my rotary and they do a great job up to speed 3 1/2.

it should be used at speeds of 5-6 and work it until the shine pops out and there is barely any product visible
