Wait till spring and let it melt off.

    I wish I did have a good way, but I don`t.
I usually just use a snow brush and try to keep the brush away from the paint. I have heard of people wrapping a MF towel around their snow brush, but I have never tried it.

If its just snow, and its 28 degress or more. You may wanna just rinse it off. If you have a pressure washer, then thats even better

We had an inch-n-a half of ice hit us Friday night. Saturday, I saw a lady beating it off her car with what appeared to be a shovel

I like to use a water blade but stop just above the paint leaving a light coating ... then as the vehicle warms up and you start driving, it will just about all disappear ....

    other alternatives ....

    1. clean windshield and drive south until it melts
    2. light car on fire
    3. use a hair dryer
    4. get a bunch of people to breath real hard and blow at your paint
life is short ..do it while you can

I have used a Sno Brum now for about ten years. They remove snow no matter how deep it is. I usually take it down to right before the paint so I don`t marr it. The long handle lets you reach on roofs

Those things are really popular at the car dealers and the one auction I attend during the winter.
I was always concerned that they would damage the paint, but they evidently don`t. Probably depends on how you use them.

It is a matter of the amount of snow on the car. I would just use my snow brush while stopping short of touching the paint. If it is really deep, use a shovel to take it to a level that is shallow enough for the snow brush to clean. You just have to be careful obviously since it is easier to damage your paint.

    But.......
I did a Google search and found a lot of good things said about the Sno-Brum, but quality wasn`t one of its strong points.
Breaking foam, bending handles, breaking fittings, handle not holding adjustment, coming apart repeatedly. If it was just one or two people, I wouldn`t be too concerned, but a lot of people seem to be having problems.
Obviously, that hasn`t been your experience since it has lasted you 10 years.
What`s your opinion of the quality?

That is what I did 30 years ago when I lived where it snowed.

The quality has been good. My broom has been through some heavy storms. Last year I purchased a solid wood broom handle from Lowe`s and attached the foam to it. The adjuster did not hold any more. As far as the foam is holding up pretty well. With the new handle it`s better than new. Now I have seen many people misuse these brooms. Things like using them as ice scrapers and banging them onto the car to dig into the snow. That is my feeling why they are poorly rated.

Re: How to saftly remove snow off your car?

It wasn`t safe or saft, for that matter, but it was funny.

My wife used an ALUMINUM BASEBALL BAT to remove snow from her truck earlier this evening. The snow brush is AWOL. I swear it was between the driver`s seat and the console. But alas, she used what she COULD find. I`m just glad I wasn`t nearby to make a wisecrack. Because the final *CRACK* would have come from the side of my head.
