    Bio-Degradable APC on wheels?

Im assuming APC is safe for use on wheels? If so, what dilution ratio would you recommend for aftermarket silver painted wheels with polished lips that are cleaned once a week agitated with a soft brush? (not looking for a spray-on-rinse-off product)

Why don`t you just seal them? Then you can just use soap and water to clean them.

As far as an APC being safe for wheels, it probably is, but....
One thing that would concern me is the chance that it would also remove any wax on the wheels.
The APC I use lists wax removal as one of it`s uses and at a pretty high dilution. I don`t think I would be comfortable using it on my wheels at all, let alone weekly.

Blk45`s suggestion is what I do. If you wax/seal them periodically, they will be much easier to care for. My wheels come clean with just the wash product I am using on the rest of the vehicle.

I keep a good coat of wheel wax on my rims at all times, this makes it so much easier to clean the rims. Like Charles, I can just clean them with whatever car wash soap I am using for the rest of the car, and it comes off easy.
I like beer. On occasion I will even drink a beer to celebrate a major event such as the fall of communism or the fact that our refrigerator is still working.

all very good suggestions... if you are to use APC for your wheels ( assuming they are in good condition) then 30:1 would be the dilution I would choose for cleaning without stripping
life is short ..do it while you can

    Re: Bio-Degradable APC on wheels?

thanks guys. I will just buy some more p21s.

although I do have PB wheel sealant, and love the stuff, the reason I dont seal these wheels is because the mesh design of the wheel would be such a pain to apply and remove the sealant I just dont want to do it. I may end up doing that though.

Also, the car in question in a bmw, which produces tons of brake dust. I always kept 2 layers of wheel sealant on my OEM wheels, and car wash shampoo was never worked well enough on removing brake dust.
