Thumbs up Rotary lessons for AWD330

Today I decided to give AWD330 (Marj) some rotary lessons on my black Quad442, for helping me out last week in preparing for the Rinebeck show last weekend.
Here`s what we had to work with...1991 Quad442 in black ..paint is 16 years old(repaint since it was keyed when it was a month old) and been in storage for the last 4 years in my garage. Lots of scuffs, some scratches, many chips, and lots of water marks from the previous owner
    Here are the befores

We used AWD330`s Makita rotary with Professional Polish at a speed of 3 or 1200rpm`s and a Lake Country Orange finger pad for the side...here`s the results: Mind you there wasn`t a great deal of sun and I`m not very good at photography, but i did try to take the same angle shots as the befores

I also decided to show her how to wet sand. I used 2000 grit with soapy water

On the hood I bumped up the speed to 4 or 2100rpm`s to work out the sanding marks easier. Marj did not seem to have any problems using the higher speed.

    Re: Rotary lessons for AWD330

Overall, I would say AWD330 (Marj) had no problems , other than dealing with the weight of the rotary, and was pretty happy with her work. She also had no holograms nor did she burn through any of the paint I hope everyone can try a rotary at some point and time as it can do corrections that the PC can only dream of

That is really some impressive work. I`m sure she got a ton of valuable information and training. Not to mention, you got your vehicle`s paint condition back to where it should be. Great job!

The finger pads are Lake Country`s Tufted Foam Pads. I have a few still kicking around and use them occaisionally.

    for Marj

She did some nice work on your car.
Maybe she will cover for pockets when he decides to go fishing again

I`m still waiting for you to come down and teach me how to use my rotary. The few minutes you spent with me at the first Poorboy`s Detail Day are long forgotten. I`ll give you a place to sleep and a furry little 85 lb bed warmer. Bonus...we don`t have twin girls running around to drive you crazy.

I`m sure she would rather have Pockets do the work and she did do a very nice job

I`m working on it, getting away from here is a chore in itself, even for just a weekend
