I just got done with a Silver Lexus. I should have done SSR2 first, then SSR1, topped with EX because there were alot of scratches. But the particular package he wanted was only for 1 round of polish not swirl removing. Anyway, the look of SSR1 and EX on silver is VERY nice and wet looking.

    Both applied via PC.

Tassadar, very interesting findings/results with the Pro Polish vs. SSR1. In Steve`s temporary absence, Natty if you would give us your analysis of the differences (ie. abrasives, gloss, etc.).

I currently have, and had planned to use, the Pro Polish and EX regime. What, if anything, will I be missing without the SSR1 product in the mix.

In my experience with the products and with EX as your final finish I would say use SSR1 after your PP for optimal gloss and wet look. For the best EX longevity use PP. The PP is really a much stronger cleaner / SMR than most people think. Worked properly it will get the job done way better than most first level SMRs that I`ve tried. It leaves a squeaky clean finish which is what makes it a great choice for things like UPP or even Klasse SG. SSR1 will leave a gloss, wet look finish that is very smooth and slick to touch. I like applying my final finish coats over a finish like that more so than a squeaky clean type finish. Something about having the foan app just gliding over the paint while applying product that gives me the warm and fuzzy feeling.

I am definately with Natty here. I liked the way the EX felt when it was being applied with PP before SSR1.

PP is a weird product, useful, but weird.

Yep, that`s about where I find PP in the mix!

    SSR2, SSR1, EX

You can add a couple extra steps in there to get a possibly better finish, but I havent seen a big noticeable difference yet.
