Review - Poorboys World Nattys Blue Paste Wax

Recently won this from Autopia as a part of http://www.autopia.org/forums/autopia-product-contests-giveaways/182288-9-weeks-win-lap.html?highlight=9+weeks+to+win

    Poorboy

    Description
Easy on/ easy off…carnauba paste wax…use in sun or shade. Long lasting formula with patented UV light absorbers. Super clarity, protection and depth for all finishes, colors and vehicles.

    Directions
Natty`s paste wax is easy to use. First make sure your finish is clean and properly prepped. We recommend using Poorboy`s polish with carnauba or polish with sealant prior to use. Apply with a slightly damp foam or microfiber applicator by hand or machine. Apply product in thin even layers using back and forth pattern. Apply to sections or entire vehicle, allow to dry to a haze and then wipe off using a microfiber cloth.

I have heard many great things about Natty’s Blue Paste Wax over the past couple years so this was a product that I was very excited to finally use. I don’t tend to use many waxes nowadays with all the coatings and sealants out now but there are a few on my list that I still want to try. Test vehicle was a black Chevy Colorado with some imperfections. Price of Natty’s Paste Wax Blue on Autopia Car Care Products - Car Detailing Supplies, Car Wax, Car Polishers, Auto Detailing is $21.99 for an 8oz jar. When you open the jar your face could be a foot away and you will still get a blast of bubble gum scent. It might smell a little too good. My daughter always likes to smell the products with me (and coffee) and this was her favorite scent to date. She asked me about 5 times to smell it again. At her age (4) she clearly knows better but I still made it a point that she not try to taste it lol.

For this test I used the Buff and Shine Red Foam Wax & Sealant Applicator Pad with Tapered Edge (2 Pack). The wax was very simple to pick up with this applicator pad without wasting any. I think I went back to the jar and loaded the pad up about 4 times to cover the entire truck. Some areas I applied too thick but it still wiped off without too much effort but where I laid it down thin wiped off like nothing. Unfortunately I did not get a good picture of some of the filling it did. It did add some great gloss to the truck and I look forward to seeing how it holds up to the So Cal heat and maybe even some rain. With all that said I would recommend this wax to everyone. Even if it doesn’t last long here the look it gives and the pleasure of working with it is good enough that I wouldn’t mind applying every couple weeks if I had to.

    And my Merlin shot.

    Thanks for looking.

I`ve always liked Nattys (blue and red). Killer looks, but the part about the long lasting formula is a gross exaggeration. Whoever penned that is not going to heaven. I still enjoy using it, though. Instant gratification.

Nice review. Natttys Blue was the first PB wax I ever bought. Then came red and then white lol. Such a pleasure to use these waxes. Granted durability is on par with most carnaubas but I use carnaubas on all my garage queens.

I love it. I also use one for hand polishing in tight spots and one for hand polishing on painted wheels.

Nice review. Those applicators aren`t bad.

I wonder why PBs recommends PwS or PwW, opposed to a one of their regular polishes - prior to Nattys.

Anyway, if your car is in good shape - Pro Polish 2 is very good. Buffs as smooth as Menz or anything else out there. Wipe off is easy.

I like the Blue on solid colors but on my Sorento`s metal flake paint, it seems to mute it. Red seems to enhance the metal flake.

I had the same results. One of the best smelling and easy to use waxes i have ever used. Next wash the beading was off the charts.

Thanks. Maybe they suggest that for better durability? Looks like I will have to give PP2 a shot then.
