    SSR`s and single stage paint?

    Good afternoon all,

I havent been around for a while but my detail season is starting up now. Am I am able to use the SSR`s ex. ssr 1, ssr 2, ssr 2.5 on a single stage paint? i am about to work on a 79 corvette, with all original paint, dark blue paint, can i use the ssr line and propel pads? should i still be running the porter cable at #5 speed? Also, will the single stage paint stain my propel pads with the paint color? i havent worked on single stage paints in many years. also, should i be nervous to see paint on the pads?? i dont want to take too much paint off? can i use detail clay on the single stage paint also?

thanks for everyones time in advance,

ps- i will post pics of this car...

everything will be fine, you will see paint on the pads.. you`ll only know when you get to primer if you took off too much. crank the PC up to normal speeds.. or use the good old rotary..

PS wool helps on the first pass
