    QD+ Smell

I didn`t think it was strange but someone else asked on another forum so I figured I would ask here. I received my QD+ last week. Someone said that it should smell like a Pina Colada. Mine smells like gasoline. Is something wrong?

    Scott

This is the preference of the mfger and what they want there product to smell like....In your thread about Klasse & Pinncale....the Klasse smells to me like someone cutting some cheese to me :shifty:

If you get some Poorboys product they all have nice and pleasant smells.....Nattys paste wax smells like bubblegum to me....SO to answer your question its the mfgers choice as to what they want the product to smell like.....I would say most want theirs to smell pleasant so the customer will want to work with it....It does for me.

May need to rephrase the question...

Does your PB QD+ smell like gasoline or Pina Colada?

    Re: QD+ Smell

i havent used qd+ but wha he`s trying to ask if its supposed to smell a certain way. like pina colada. he apperantly received his batch and it doesn`t smell like pina colada at all, instead it smells like gasoline or something to that nature.

    i hope i rephrased u`re question alright.

Thanks! That is exactly what I was asking. Someone suggested that a "bad batch" might be floating around. It is definitely a gasoline/mineral spirits type smell. It did not fit inline with the great smelling other products (I am tempted to taste the wheel wax).

    Re: QD+ Smell

Mine smell like solvent (from the bottle). I do recall it smelling like coconut or something once, but I stocked up on them a while ago, so I`m guessing the scent has since evaporated/died.
    Still works, though!

    Re: QD+ Smell

That is what this last batch smells like, solvents and wax...there is no scent ..
There is nothing wrong with it, we just didn`t add any color or scent.

Perfect. It works W O N D E R F U L L Y I must say. Being that is is QD+, I am assuming that it is not removing my top coat of Natty`s blue as bad as some other QDs might?

    Re: QD+ Smell

It should be used as a booster wax....as the Natty`s starts to wear down, the QD+ will clean up the fading wax and give it back the gloss and slickness.
