got mine at the big orange box (home depot). it`s sturdy and I don`t expect to replace it anytime soon.
I just bought a killer one at Sams Club. 125 feet and heavy duty. Think it was $30 or so.
I got my latest hose at Sam`s (125 feet). Called Powerflo III - manufactured by the Teknor Apex Company. 6-ply hose with HEAVY brass fittings; lifetime guarantee. They claim water flows even if the hose gets kinked (it does but not very well).
Looks like it will last a while. And it shines up nicely with 303.
The problem with the super thick hoses is storing them. A hose reel may or may not hold it all - if you like your current reel, keep that in mind. Personally I prefer the medium weight hoses - easier to move, store, and use.
I`d like to get a Meg`s wool pad and backing plate to use with my Makita, but am unsure as to which to get.
Should I get backing plate W68 or W66? What are the pros and cons of each? Also, do you think that I should get a wool light cutting pad or get a burgundy one? The only other wool pad that I`ve used is a TufBuff black lambs wool. How do those mentioned above compare to the black lamb`s wool?
Thanks for your help, everyone.

Thank you for the call Rusty!

Meguair`s W66 backing plate with an LC purple wool pad for me. (Note the purplewool is not as aggressive as the Meguiar`s pads you mentioned but it works well for me).
