TufBuf Black Natural Lambswool Polishing Pad
My tufbuf pads just came in. I got 5" (4), 4" (1), and 3" (1). They are the perfect size for my backing plate.
Thanks for the idea wendell, if I try the PFW Ill have to do something like that.
I am going to do a large test on a hood with several pads and compounds/polishes. I will take pics and do a write up for everyone here at TID.

Ok so I tried out the Tufbuf wool pads on a Toyota solara.
The paint is pretty hammered:
This is after hitting the paint twice with the Tufbuf pads and 105 on Rotary:
This shot is a 50/50 after tufbuf/105, then orange/SIP then black/85rd all on rotary:
Now a sun shot. The paint was wiped down with 3m paint prep and then with IPA
All in all, I am falling in love with the Tufbuf pads! They worked great and were so easy to use. I want to try them out more but at first blush they are wonderful. I want to thank David (Street Dreams) for giving me the tip on these.

Jon,
Boy, that is a great job of correction on that really hammered paintwork !!!
I am glad you found the parts you needed - and am going to go where someone said to look at the 3M 5" backing plates; they sure look nice, and are taller so you can get them into spots easier without the machine head getting in the way too.
I have not seen or heard of the TufBuf Pads before, but will try to find them out there in Google-Land and see what happens.
Great save, great save !! We are all proud of your work and I am sure the Client was stunned! :partaaay:
Thanks for sharing your time to show us the results !

Thanks Dan! I am actually still working on the car, I just wanted to share my experiences with the new wool pads with everyone. I appretiate the kind words. And the client is mom so while I`m not making money off of it a few home cooked meals are worth much more!! Lol.
