    detailing an altima and..

today i started detailing a 2011 nissan alitima..washed it then clayed it..claying took me 3.5 hours..this car was never taking car ...it was a mess..but anyhow..i starting polishing ..and after 6.5 hours. i only got the whole passenger side done...im using megs 105..and a coule differ lcc pads..along with trying the surbuf padd...and it still look for ever to get to perfection as there were those scratches u cant see from far..but once a light was in it..i saw...and it just took for ever...do u think i was doing something wrong. or is the clearcoat really hard on this car? any advice would be great....thanks. jeff

i primed the pad like u said..so that was good togo..i keep the speed at 4 to 4.5 going in motion..ill go upp and down.
and side ways about 2-3 times..on top panels i let the polisher use its wait..and on side panela i give minimal pressure...
