    I might have to give this a try with the spare W68DA plate I have.

    I use a #11 X-Acto blade, their standard pointed blade. I have also used a common carpet-style razor knife.

    Unless the blade breaks, it`s safe procedure as long as you wear safety glasses, and hold onto the knife tightly.
