I have not detailed the e46`s door jams yet because a few weeks ago, Ron posted something about removing some grease from the door jambs which can cause some serious damage.
Can you post it again?

O, I see what u mean... I guess I`ll apply AIO on the painted parts of the door and jams, just hope that there wont be too big of a contrast between the spotless AIO surface and greased parts.
You can use a little mineral spirits, or a tar remover to take off the excess grease. Then wipe down the area with isopropyl alcohol. This should clean up the excess grease.
Another reason why I service my own vehicle. I usually surround the hinges of my doors with rags when I spray the lube on them. Then I immediately wipe off the excess. Also go back in a couple of days and wipe the excess, again. Cause no matter how well you do it the first time, it will run down the door hinge again.
To be honest I was a bit nervous using it being the first time I have used a machine polisher, but it handles like a dream, very balanced, not very loud at all and the vibration was minimal. I probably moved to fast as I was still worried about damaging the paint but I`m sure as I get used to it that will improve. I didn`t have time to finish it tonight so I will get more time with it tomorrow and hopefully slow down. In my opinion it is a great polisher and I`m glad I finally popped that polisher cherry LOL
Sorry no pics

` Hey Paulie, he popped his chair-eeeeee ` ... Goodfellas
Congrats, the G110v2 is a GREAT machine! In fact David Fermani and I used them to achieve 99% correction on a completely tricked out Corvette. I LOVE my G110v2. Please give me a call (407) 963 1444 or shoot me a PM if I can help in any way.
Congrats on your first machine use!
What polish/pads did you use?
I got my V2 the other day. I will be trying it out for the first time on a black porsche tomorrow.

That`s great, Steve! The more you use it, the more you`ll like it. It just takes time to learn the techniques of speed, pressure, pad choice, polishes, etc. Now you`re hooked!:partaaay:

Thanks Todd, I appreciate that and I like that quote LOL
Thanks, I used Megs 205/white LCC. You will really like it, it doesn`t wear you out at all.
That`s for sure . I`m going to have to get a smaller backing plate/pads for the smaller areas.

Thanks. I finished today and I was a little more relaxed this time taking my time. It is just a major learning curve for me as I have always done polishing/waxing/even compounding by hand. Talk about a workout LOL. Anyway, this is a great forum to learn from and I appreciate everyones help and advice. I will see about those pics.
