    Looking for a new Polish

I have been using Adams for the past 6 or 7 years, and have always done okay with it. I started using Jax wax which has a decent cut, but is dusty as all get out. I am looking to step up my game. A lot of the vehicles I work on are Ford and GM so more on the hard side for clear coat. I was thinking of trying out Sonax Cutmax, but if I did, I wasn`t sure what to follow it up with. Looking for suggestions on some decent 2 step polishes to give a try. I am currently using an Adams Polishes 15MM polisher if that helps.
    Thanks in advance.

I like to follow Cutmax with Sonax Perfect Finish. I think it`s a really nice combo.

M205 is still my favorite finishing polish.

You`d be surprised at the cut you can get out of an MF pad and M205 too.

Lots of good compounds honestly. I like FG400.

I like M205 as well. It has non-diminishing abrasives and the amount of cut varies based on your pad selection. On soft Toyota clear coat, M205 on a LC orange pad with a rotary is extremely effective at removing swirls and minor stuff but tends to leave holograms. On a white pad with a DA machine it finishes nicely on the same soft clear coat.
    My stable includes a 2019 Toyota Avalon and a 2016 BMW 550i.

Griots fast cut and perfecting cream. You won’t be disappointed. And absolutely no dust!

    razz2o4- Welcome to Autopia!

FWIW, I can *NEVER* get the final finish I want with M205, certainly not on the Ford clear I`ve worked (which has always been medium-soft and much softer than any b/c from GM). I`d either get the Sonax or (most likely) go with Mike lambert`s recommendation and get the GG Perfecting Cream (although I`m still using up other, older stuff).

The next time I buy polishes I’m going to go with the Griot’s too based on Mike’s work and recommendation.

I think I may take a look at Groits. I appreciate it.

Adam`s is a great place to start with their color coded polishes and pads. I mostly use Scholl Concepts polishes now, but am just getting into RUPES polishes + pads too. I have excellent results with Scholl S3, and can usually work it with my RUPES 15 MkII so a finishing polish is not required.

I must be the only one who is not happy with the Boss Fast correcting cream. never has been too impressive for me. I love The Last Cut glaze

When the heaviest hitter is needed, Megs 101. Majority of machine work completed with any of the Griot`s BOSS creams. Sonax Cut and Finish, CutMAX, and EX 04/06 are fantastic products when DAT is needed.

I can cut anything easier and with less mess than anything else out there. I’ve removed 1000 grit sanding marks at a body shop demo with it and the GG6! At the risk of sounding like the company in Florida, you’re doing something wrong I’m afraid.

Re: Looking for a new Polish

Just FWIW....While I`m surprised to hear somebody say that the GG Fast Correction Cream isn`t potent enough (I`ve never tried it, using M101 for my aggressive work), I`m not a fan of struggling to "master" a product if there`s some alternative that`ll work easier.

Although OTOH, if M101 won`t do the job, well..then something`s *really* haywire. That`ll remove clear right down to the basecoat, almost a case of "watch what you wish for".
