What`s your flat foam pad preference

I`m looking to pick up some more pads. I have a big need for B&S green and LC really does not have a equal to that in their flats. The gray seems to have less cut then the green an I want something with a little cut for finer polishes and pre wax cleaners.
Otherwise I think they are pretty equal except the LC`s are 1/8" thinner which I like.
Standard flats are what is in my budget since I have to replace a B&S MF finishing. I did find one retailer that sells both brands.

I`m really not partial to one brand or the other. Any ideas throw them at me.

I`m partial to the B&S Greens myself, but Megs just announced new 7/8" thin, flat 5.5" pads but they won`t be available for a few weeks. There is info on their website under New Products.

I dont really care for or need thinner pads because i use Rotary Power and I can wear pads out to where they are now those thin pads that are sold as new..

I believe the thinner pads are better for Random Orbital machines to help lessen the weight and drag of the pad to help promote more rotation... Please correct me if Im so wrong here..

That said, after using mostly Lake Country pads for - think its been about 10 years, I have this crazy love/hate with their Cyan and Tangerine Hydro-Shreds..

Ok, they really are called Hydro-Tech, but I re-named them because of what they do when used too long with pressure and no faster than 1000 rpm..

But to their credit, they do really correct extremely well (with rotary power) or even with my very old, one of the first sold in the US, Flex 3401VRG machine..

And on top of correcting really well, they also finish really well for me, that I have many times been able to skip a polishing cycle completely.. But again, using a Rotary properly really makes this work better for me..

I like that these 2 pads are thick and they last a long time, never really complain or have a bad day or are finicky - well - except when I work them really hard and then they start to lose a little of their foam..

From what I saw and read from SEMA the Meg`s 5.5 are going to come at a higher price then the B&S or LC. I have a budget that`s why I`m staying with LC flats and B&S. I think even LC HT`s might be a little too much for my budget.

Overall I tend to use LC Thinner pads. Standards (Orange, White, Black) and Hydro Techs.
