5" vented back plate for DA

I only found two and have not found much in terms of reviews.
The Uber vented BP from Detailers Domain
Chemicals guys makes one The BP I have now is a CG BP.
I think mine is starting to go. The head of my PC is getting pretty warm and paint surface temp is pretty warm to the touch after a pass. It actually melted the lam in the center of a B&S MF pad last week. Yes I pushed it pushed the pad really hard. I`m getting my PC looked at first by my father - in - law retired electrician for any obvious issues then of to PC repairs if needed. For now I want to rule out everything.

There are more experienced PC/Microfiber pad Detailers on here and one should get time to reply back to you soon..

If you can also share what product you were using on the pad, moisture amount, speed of the machine, and your technique - how much pad rotation, fast passes, slow passes, pressure, etc..

What kind of paint were you working on also.. Were you doing the work outside in the sun? Shade ?

I would recommend the Detailers Domain vented backing plate vs anything from C/G..

Phil, the Owner of the Detailer`s Domain Website and Shop is an outstanding guy who would not sell junk intentionally, and stands behind his products if they were found to be defective..

In all the years I have known him (at least 10 years), he has always been way ahead in terms of technology, use of tools and products, and is an outstanding person to boot..

You could also contact him through his website and he could perhaps give you some help with this too !

MF pads can get very hot and I have seen it recommended to swap pads between panels to allow them to cool a little. I have not tried this method, but it makes sense.
