    Pads for Flex 3401

I have always been a foam pad user and have never really given microfiber pads much of a try. I am finding that I occasionally need something with more initial cut on some of the more trashed paint that I see from time to time. I was thinking about trying the yellow BnS pads. How would the cut and finish of this pad on a 3401 rate against the microfiber pads ? I have also read that the LC thin wool purple pad could be a good option. What would you guys recommend ?

    Pads for Flex 3401

    B&S, hands down!!!!

MF pads blow on the 3401.

The most/best cut you will get out of the 3401 is with lambswool pads(tuff buff, purple foamed wool).

I like the B&S MF cutting pads on the 3401, the finishing pads blow though... I will say that. Also try rupes pads on the 3401, I did it today... WOW was I impressed. The ;low profile of the 3401 combined with the triangular structure of the pad really lets you get into tight spots and definitely has a very nice feel.

The white and yellow Rupes pads work great on the 3401. The green will crumble very quickly.

Lake Country Hybrid pads are the best I`ve tried on a Flex. They were made by Lake Country for the Flex and fit it perfectly. I have B&S microfiber pads and they have a really good cut, but I try to finish with a white hybrid pad. Try both and I`m sure you won`t be disappointed in either.

^ Agreed with above. Use the Lake Country Hybrid Pads on the 3401. Go with the Hybrid version of the foamed wool pad for maximum defect removal (with a pretty nice finish as well)!
