    Rupes Medium Gel Polish

I have the Rupes Ultra Fine, and it is great with very little dust and good work time. Given the excellent results and the need for a polish with more cut, I tried the Rupes Medium Gel Polish. However, the results with the medium was poor; short work time and plenty of dust. It was delivered earlier this month during the cold snap and traveled through areas where the temperature was well below freezing. The medium was noticeably thinner than the Ultra Fine, but it did not appear to have separated.

Has anyone used the Rupes Medium Gel Polish? What was your experience? What other polish that is similar in cut to Rupes Medium would you recommend?

The green and blue cap polishes do dust more, but the work times are still pretty good.

I stole the idea of using rupes zephir on the green pad from Dalton ,works great! It dusts somewhat but it does work very well. It should not be very much thinner at all.

Do you guys have a suggestion for a different polish with similar cut? This Rupes medium dusted more than M105 for me.

Blackfire SRC Compound has a bit more cut, but finishes great!! Menzerna SI 1500 has about the same cut as Rupes medium gel and should finish good.

Pick up Blackfire SRC compound. I promise you`ll really like it!

How would a OTC product like Meguiar`s Ultimate Compound compare to Rupes medium in cut?

Probably a bit more. Give it a shot. It`s very easy to work with.

It is the spent-abrasive particles/paint/contamination self-cleaning form the pad. As long as the dust doesn`t scratch (like some older compounds) I don`t mind it too much.

I think it is one of the reasons that the Rupes blue & green finish so well from such aggressive products.
