350z Paint issue, need help! 56K warning

Hi I am new here, I was told to try to get some help from this community from the my350z/ slfdrifters community.

This is my 05 Z. Has currently 74k on the clock and 24K on the motor.
When I bought it the paint was alright and had several spots where the owner tried to fix the paint.

This is how the paint looks now. I dont know what these marks are or how they were acquired. I wash/ wax/ seal-ish about every 2 weeks. I have not tried wet sanding but I wanted to hear the forums input before I took the next steps with either taking her in for paint or fixing it. The scratches on the roof are actually from squirrels that used to eat on there while my car was out of the garage ( now shes in the garage at all times ).

Anyone know what these are what procedure I should take to clean em up?

    Thanks in advance.

the major consensus seems to be clear coat failure + previous owner not cleaning car during love bug season. ( I was the car practically every weekend)

Most have gone with the repaint/ or wrap option, but I would like to hear what you guys think.

It does appear like cc failure, chips etc

    My advice is re-paint

This would be my first time having a car of mine repainted, is there any way to specify how hard the paint would be to the paint shop? Or will they use some "industry" standard paint? Nissan paint is super soft...

if you are paying for the repaint you can specify what ever you want I would think, color, number of clear coats etc...
You have activated my special ability....

Yes, that is clear coat failure and the only way to "fix" it would be to have it repainted.

    I hate neglected 350Z`s
Suffice to say a respray looks like your best option.

Well I have 2 years left on the car to finish paying. So for the moment she will have to stay like this until I can save the 5K ish to get her painted. Or maybe someone can "key my car" and I can just pay the deductible ;p

    Sorry about your luck...

I do not think these are dial up users. There are some slow DSL`s out there plus those using slow wireless so rendering images is not as snappy.

In that case, find a good detailer who has experience with a rotary buffer, and they can get the paint to look much better. I did a car very similar to this and the end result was you could still see some spots but the overall appearance was very nice...they where happy.

Yeah I will look into it, only issue is that in my area there seem to be many "detail pros" but really arent. I would trust my skills with a rotary/wetsand before any of these kids..
