I`ll give the LC hybrid wool pad a shot, but I have a feeling it will finish horribly.
In my experience the LC foamed wool pads finish out pretty nice on DA polishers.

Does the blue hybrid pad have more correction ability as the HT tangerine? Will it finish just as good, generally speaking?

    Hybrid Orange
    HT Cyan
    Hybrid Blue
    Hybrid White
    HT Tangerine

Its more aggressive but doesn`t finish out quite as nice.

Not that Todd needs any support, but I have found this to be true as well.

Todd, which pad would provide better smoothness when polishing with the Flex 3401: 6.5" CCS pads or 6.5" Constant Pressure CCS pads? Would there be a difference in correction ability?

Hi Gloss will be smoother, have slightly less cut (probably not enough to even notice, but in theory)

I went ahead and ordered some 6.5" Hi Gloss pads from ACC. I really want to like the 3401, and I think the hi gloss pads will noticeably help smooth things out. I also ordered some 4" hi gloss pads as well. I will be able to use the 3401 4" backing plate with those, correct? Also, why are some colors not available with the 6.5" and 4" hi gloss?

I can`t help it. These are my favorite pads:

They are 4" pads from CG and a 3" plate fits perfect into them. I love the plate gets countersunk into the pad. I wish they made 5.5" pads like this.

#2 would be the LC Cool Wave Pads I WON here. Todd sent me a whole box of like twenty some pads. Please note, they are getting used frequently!!!

The hi-gloss pads have 3.75 inch pad mount, which should line up great with the FLEX, IIRC. I will double check next time I am in the office.

The Hi-Gloss Pads pads are made by Lake Country. When you combine two foams together (the instant rebound foam with the pad material) you have to have a strong bond between the foams, so that this point is as strong, if not stronger then the foams themselves. Only pad materials that could be bonded to the constant pressure foam were selected.

Hey Todd, for DA use, why do you prefer the hydro crimson for finishing over the LC black pad?

It`s a little firmer so it breaks the polish down quicker whilst still leaving behind a perfect finish.
