    Experts...new car...what polish

Did my new accord with blackfire TPNS and CS but.....

I`ve got some minor RID`s and it needs a gloss enhancer polish. I have a griots DA and CCS pads from orange to blue

    What blackfire product?
    What menzerna product?
    What pad?

Then I`ll follow with BFWD AND CS....

    Thanks in advance!

Ive never used BF but I do use Menzerna Power Finish since its a 1 Step. Removes swirls and it finishes down to a very nice polish.

You could use SRC compound for the RIDs with orange CCS or White. Followed with SRC finishing on white to remove remaining swirls. Then if you wanna be OG with it hit it with SRC finishing and a red pad for that extra bling!

    Thanks Guys -

you have to understand I`m feeding the detailing addiction here - there is NOTHING WRONG with my new Accord - the finish is like glass to everyone except those with our affliction, and I have the perfect storm going on here; no money problems, retired with all the time in the world, new car and of course THE AFFLICTION....So I`m gonna do a side by side:

ordered the Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish and the Menzerna SF 4500 - ..just got the 19 HFP wheels on this week with low profile Conti`s:
    !

    stay tuned!

Be careful about obsessing about perfection. It is an unattainable goal. Better to preserve the heavy corrections for when you really need it.

The Menz. 4500 might be a bit finer than you need on that color, but won`t hurt. I also like Power Finish for a good balance of correction and finish. I would recommend that for the imperfections at this point. If it isn`t powerful enough then I`d say hold off on getting more aggressive until you are sure you are able to maintain the perfect finish. BF SCR polish will also do well for you. I would recommend postponing any compounding until it is truly necessary, particularly if this is a daily driver and not a garage queen.

Rule #1 for OCDetailing is "you can never have too much detailing stuff", so you probably just need to order some more stuff glen.

Yeah. I got an order in today and realized I forgot to order one item and then ordered an extra of another.

    Re: Experts...new car...what polish

So I got the Menzerna 4500 today and am going to apply it tomorrow
so how`s this for a plan using a GG6 with a green or black pad.....I clayed today and it`s smoooooth...
    1. apply 4500 and buff off
    2. apply BFWD - buff off with BF poly spray
    3. apply two coats of BF CS - couple 4 hours apart

any opinions? - I don`t need to dawn wash or ISP after the 4500, do I?

    Hey Glen,

Go with 4500 with black or green pad. Do a wipe down with BF waterless and then apply BFWD. Skip the poly spray when taking off BFWD, its ok with TPnS.

Do BFCS next day.....day three go see a chiropractor from all the WHiplash!!
