    Holograms on Mazda 3 paint

    Hey Guys,

Looking to remove some holograms on 2016 Mazda 3 Deep Blue Mica. They are complimentary dealer installed. Due to being ill with a neurological disease I`m trying to do a one step correction. I will be finishing out with Essence for the extended LSP durability. Any Advice for a good one step polish on soft paints that will knock out holograms. I have a couple in mind but looking for some advice before I pick up some product.

    Thanks

Depending on the pad, Essence might be able to do it on its own. What machine are you using and what pads do you have available?

Dunno about essence, so can`t advise on that, but

Where are you, some of our people may be able to help.

Essence is a good one step polish. It should remove all of the dealer installed damage.

Another on my list is Optimum Hyper Polish, word is it can be a medium cut compound and you can get a really good cut with a aggressive pad on soft to medium paints because of the really long buffing cycle. Anyone have any opinions?

I`ve found the metallic gray paint on my `10 Mazda is in the medium range from a hardness perspective. I used Meguiars Ultimate polish on it and it was OK with a Lake Country white Flat Pad. A more aggressive pad might have done better, but I was afraid of creating marring from too aggressive of a pad. I think a good medium grade polish will serve you well vs a milder finishing polish.

Menzerna po91e is a great mid grade polish that finishes well I just don’t recall what the new name for it is anymore and it changes with the pad

Re: Holograms on Mazda 3 paint

Optimum Hyper Polish is a very good, predictable, polish that keeps working, and then you ease up on the pressure and allow it to polish more to bring out a great finish..

It is all I ever use on Honda or Acura paintwork and I never have to worry about how its going to turn out..

Yes, you can do some incredible work with Meguiars 105 and 205 on really damaged black Honda paint as well, but you better know what you are doing and be careful not to heat it up too much or too long and go through an edge or something...

If I could learn how to post pics, I could show you a Jet Black older Honda Civic that was used on a Farm as a Farm Car all its life, and what happened to it when it ran into my Makita with M105 and M205... They swore I switched cars on them and this was a new one.. But it was not...

The Optimum Hyper Polish is a safer product but may take longer depending on your skill set, equipment, and pads, you need lots of pads and then a good cleaner for them...
