Seeking compound suggestions for swirled out Nissan paint

I plan on compounding and polishing a Nissan Rogue, and want to remove most of the swirls & light scratches.
I am loading up my cart with compounds to try, plus I will be using MF pads.
    I already have some products:
BF compound & polish (almost out)
    AAT 3D (used it once)
    Sonax Cutmax (used once)
    S3 XXL (too dusty)
Pinnacle Advanced compound (never used ? )

Not enough experience and so many products !

    Looking at :
    Gyeon`s compound 4oz.
    Boss Fast correction cream 16oz.
    Jescar correcting compound 8oz.

    Thanks for all the advice

Boss Fast Correcting Cream with the Boss MF pads is the best combination I have found to date for compounding.

The Jescar product intrigues me as an option to try.

I also really like the Sonax polishes and recently picked up their Cut & Finish compound/polish to try (have not used it yet)...

    SONAX Cut & Finish

If I needed a more "aggressive" cut, I would also not hesitate to try Sonax CutMax cutting compound...

SONAX CutMax Cutting Compound 250 ml.

Let us know what you end up using Mary!

    +1 on BadgerRivFan

Case in point, Merlin Shot #403. I purchased a used Subaru that was covered in swirls. This is the combo I used to fix it.

    Good Luck!

    Agree with BagRiv,

Griots Garage combo is incredibly good. On the right paint the FCC and Boss MF leave the paint LSP. And the FCC smells really good too. Like cake batter.

I cannot comment on Gyeon or Jescar compounds. But if Jescars compound is an improved version of Menzerna FG400, you should buy Jescar as well. FG400/HC400 is awesome and finishes down LSP on certain paints.

Only compound I haven`t been blown away with is 3D AAT.

I just used this combo on the <<<TA to take out a oil change instilled "dirty shop rag wipe down"

Perfect finish is just that. Great results and following up with Sonax PF after FG400 you don`t have to worry about fillers in PF, there is nothing to fill

Keep in mind that Nissan paint is THIN. Correcting swirls should be fine but be careful correcting RIDS with an aggressive combo.

Thanks for the lowdown on the thin paint. It`s my DD so I won`t go all in.

    SONAX Cut & Finish
I`ve used it and it is a really nice one step polish. No dusting and good working time. Adjustable level of correction based on the pad used. Good gloss as well.

Mary B- I`m not familiar with the products under discussion, but IMO the first step oughta be to determine whether you want Diminishing Abrasives or Non-Diminishing ones.

Re: Seeking compound suggestions for swirled out Nissan paint

I`ve never played with Nissan paint, but if it is anything like Honda paint, a hearty polish and polishing pad should take care of those swirls. Anything *heavy cut* may be overkill for that clear coat.
