Menzerna polishes w/Rupes & Rupes pads

I`m just curious if anyone has had some good experience working with the Rupes polisher and Rupes pads using Menzerna polishes?

I would greatly appreciate anybody wisdom of experience.

I would assume any information with Rupes polishers would be useful. I am the owner of a Rupes Duetto. I have from the Menzerna line SF4500, PF2500, and FG400. I also have Poorboys Pro Polish and Pro Polish 2 as my versatile backups.

Looking for more knowledge as I have big projects on the horizon

Yep, they all work well with Rupes pads. I use FG400 sometimes on a blue coarse with good results. I have used SIP1500 and PF2500 on a green pad also with no problems.

Same here, 2500 is a great sure fire AIO for one steppers.

Note: If you have any questions feel free to PM me about combinations on pads, polishes and machines.

That`s impressive correction out of SF4500 and yellow rupes pads.

Are there scenarios you would go with a white rupes pad using SF4500?

Honestly you can get far better answers from these pros on here.
Im just a hobbyists who takes the occasional job so i can keep up my unnecessary supply of detail products

But i tried the white rupes pad first and needed more bite. I was very pleased wth the cut of 4500 with that pad. .i read harley paint is pretty soft, this is the only bike I`ve polished and that is his sidecar btw
I literally left only three or four rids
Then i lathered it in synergy
It looks awesome still many months later

Just start off with the least aggressive method possible and you will know how aggressive you need to go with the paint.

I gave a good idea of my limits with FG400 and a Green Rupes pad, but for those times when you know what are the conditions that when a defect needs the Blue Pad and FG400 you know you can`t or not worth it to find out?

I do understand a variety of variables are involved to give that definitive answer.

4500 is a finishing polish with very little cut, and next to no correction ability.
2500 is not an AIO, its a medium grade polish that finishes closer to a final polish. good for a one step, but no protection at all

    FG400 is a great heavy polish/light compound

    FG400
    PF2500
    SF4500
^^^^thats a great combo of products to use with variable pads

Re: Menzerna polishes w/Rupes & Rupes pads

I mean`t 2500, is an AIO POLISH (Cuts & Finishes). I have never an will never use a polish with protection in it and should not be classed, they are two separate entities that will cause you sacrifice both durability and cut.

4500 is a Jeweler, I would say it has almost no corrective ability (Which is a good thing is you are Jeweling).

Don`t use a so called AIO that incorporates protection, FG400 or just 2500 with a product like Reload or Hydro2 will look and work far better.
