Which Pad Has More Cut ?

I have a black 2006 Toyota Tacoma to do a paint correction on next week. The paint is really trashed and it appears that it is going to take at least a moderately aggressive combo to bring it back. I plan on using my Flex 3401 with 3M HD Cut and HD Polish on Buff and Shine Pads. I have both the B&S Yellow foam pads and the B&S Microfiber Pads. Which of the two pads will give me the most initial cut ?

MF pads are generally regarded as very aggressive so i would think thatd give more cut. I think its usually wool, then mf, then foam pads.

this one will have the most cutting ability Buff and Shine Microfiber Cutting Pad - 5.5 Inch
It should be followed up by a foam polishing pad Buff and Shine Green Foam Polishing Pad - 5.5 Inch for best results

Im not sure how hard your paint is but its probably not really as hard as the German car paint..
If you really had to cut out a lot of defects and wanted to get them out quickly and finish down nicely, the old standby - Lake Country Purple Foam Wool Pads would be my first choice..
Then, the L/C Cyan Hydro-Tech, which also cuts very well and finishes down really nicely.
Since you have B&S, those pads with the right compound should be fine..

I have tried Microfiber pads back when they first came out and was not really impressed with the results and all the extra work they require to get them to last awhile before you have to clean, them, brush, them, blow them out, etc..
    But then, that`s just me..
    Good Luck !

i tried the mf pads for the first time this week. They work pretty well but having to keep brushing them in between panels is a real hassle

That`s why compressed air works well with mf pads.

Absolutely. Compressed air is a must with mf pads.
they last over 100 cars for me. A set of 13 used on every car that is
correction and finishing wise mfs are damn impressive
