Yep Pinnacle Advanced Compound does have more cut than BF SRC Compound.

Maybe an older formula of SRC was more aggressive? Or are you thinking of Advanced Swirl Remover since the Compound is fairly new?

Nick Rutter told me the newest SRC Compound has a bit more cut than Advanced compund(not swirl remover), while Advanced compound may finish a bit better. Not saying who`s right or wrong, just what I heard.

Whoa that`d be news to me if the new formula is that much stronger. I think the chart was made with the old version of BF SRC but I`ll find out today and update the chart as needed.

Please do, as I`m going to pull the trigger on one of these, depending on your answer. Thanks.

Curious why you`re so interested in those two? They`re not often discussed around here, and certainly aren`t mentioned as gold standard polishes.

That`s strange, I would consider both of those as gold standard polishes. I would gladly put them head to head v.s. any other compound. I`ve removed 1000 grit sanding marks with almost no need for a finishing polish with the Pinnacle Compound in front of a very skeptical person at MTE this year. But I guess everyone has their favorites.

I wouldn`t judge a product or tool by how many people talk about them either. The Flex 3401 is rarely talked about these days for some reason but it`s still one of the best DA polishers on the market.

Like with the 3401(lately anyway, was t the case a while back), I guess they`re just not trending at the moment. Seems Meguiars and Menzerna are standard bearers, with 3D/HD being the new kid on the block.

Ah ok. Ya that`s true I guess they`re not trending. But if you guys want to try samples add my name to the next order with a request for either BF or Pinnacle Compound sample and I`ll add it to your order.

With Griots and Rupes pushing systems with their polishers many very good polishes may find their way to the back of the closet. I have used Blackfire polishes in the past but now find myself reaching for my Rupes polishes or Menzerma when using my microfiber pads.

Cant go wrong with Menzerna. The blackfire and wolfgang polishes are made by menzerna, so that bodes well. Ive had good experiences with the wg polishes.

I have a sample of the pinnacle compound whatever it is, let me tell ya it worked very good on hard paint and finished quite nicely, I could have gone right to lsp. It is very good.
