    Just Purchased-Porter Cable 7336

Purchased Porter Cable 7336 a few hours ago! My Nephew got me the Edge 2000 pad kit as a Christmas gift. I can`t wait until the weather gets warmer!

    Re: Just Purchased-Porter Cable 7336

If I may ask, what`s the difference between the 7336 and 7424, which I have.
Would it be worth upgrading or are the differences small? Thanks.

No differences other than a counter weight difference which you can buy the 6" one for the 7424 for a few dollars. Theres a link out there that has the differences if you want to search for it...

    Re: Just Purchased-Porter Cable 7336

Please ignore my previous post, I answered my own question, I think. I went to Porter-Cables web site and did a little research. If anyone else wants to know, the 7424 and 7336 machines are identical but the 7336 ships with a polishing pad and the 7424 doesn`t. (At least when I bought mine it didn`t.) Motor specs are the same otherwise. If there`s anything else let us know. Thanks.

    The other difference is the 7424 has a 5" C/B and the 7336 has a 6" C/B

Joe- I`ve been using my PC for 2 years now with a 5" CW and don`t have any problems or major vibrations. I haven`t used a PC with 6" so I don`t know first hand what the differences are. This is with 6.5" pads aswell. Maybe I`ll pick up a 6" one and see for myself what the differences are.
