well that chart isn`t quite right as the Edge yellow is actually a medium cut and the green is actually a lightcut/polish pad.

If there are any discrepancies, I am more than willing to make correctons, but please direct me the the reference point. Because I do not wish to make a mistake twice.

I think wannafbody is referring to the pad chart I posted a link to.
It did show the Propel pads in the order you list them, but it also shows the Edge pads in the order he states.
Since we seem to have a difference of opinion about both pad color charts, maybe some actual references to the manufacturers would be in order.
I did PM Patrick at Excel Detail and ask him about his pad color order and when/if I hear from him, I`ll pass it on.
It`s going to be very difficult to find correct information on the pads that have been discontinued.
Trying to find out the color/use of just the Propel pads was very frustrating. I can`t imagine the amount of time and effort it took to find information on all the ones you listed.

For the propel the info was gathered from a combination available from excel detail & pakshak.
For the edge pads it was easy.
As stated the information was gathered from a number of different sites in order to make this table, and is subject to correction.
P.S.
AAron if you wish the screen shot removed please let me know and I will do so.

I noticed that you don`t have an orange pad(medium cutting) for the Edge listing. Your chart listed the yellow as the medium cutting pad instead. Here is a link from the DC store which shows their pad colors and cutting abilities.Originally Posted by jaybs02

If you can read this, thank a teacher. If you can read this in English, thank a soldier.
Per AG:Yellow Cutting Pad This pad is aggressive, and will cut through deep surface marks and swirls. They work well on heavy oxidation and pitted finishes, and will remove wet sand scratches without causing burningOriginally Posted by wannafbody
.Green Medium Cutting Pad This pad is useful for light oxidation and moderate to severe swirls and imperfections. This pad will yield amazing results on older vehicles, and should be used on vehicles with moderate swirls and imperfections. Add a compound or pre-wax cleaner for a flawless finish on base coats. 50 pores per inch (ppi)
Orange Light Cutting Pad This pad is highly versatile, as it can be used on cars with light to moderate swirls and imperfections. We recommend you begin with this pad if you are unsure how deep swirls are, moving up to a Green Medium Cut Pad if necessary. Safe on clear coats. 60 pores per inch (ppi)
Can some of the vendors site vary when listing the pads cutting abilities?
Three posts, all saying different things about one manufacturers products. Maybe we need Aaron on here to straighten things out.

Like I stated the chart is subject to change .
The screen shot was taken from Aaron`s site just earlier this evening when I thought that there might be an error.
If there has been a change of course I will update the table.

Audiboy i agree,i also think the vendors might want to consult with edge so everyone is on the same pageOriginally Posted by audiboy
Pei, you can also subscribe to the thread this would also keep you upto date..Originally Posted by PEI Detail
The AG listing is incorrect- I`d suggest referring to the Edge site
So the Edge pads have a manufaturer`s site to refer to.Originally Posted by wannafbody
Where can "J" find that same information on the Propel pads?
Charles
Shouldnt all vendors follow the manufactors guidlines to limit any confusion Vendors sponsor various products, whatever products they maybe shouldn`t the directions and information be consistent thru-out..Originally Posted by wannafbody
I didn`t bother to check either site, but yes, I think they should be the same, but it is pretty easy to make a mistake when putting something like that together.Originally Posted by joe.p
