do u polish the ENTIRE car?

lately ive been hit with a lot of cars. word of mouth considering i dont do it professionally and only close friends. last week i hit a lexus rx300 which was swirled to death. i wouldve loved to have the entire paint completely swirl free but i made an emphasis to fucis on the rear hatch, side panels and hood. as for part like bumpers roofs and mirrors i used aio.

using the rotory on those surfaces is really awkward and the pc wouldnt have made a dent on those areas.

    what do u guys do?

Re: do u polish the ENTIRE car?

On my personal car I hit everything. On customer cars I`ll sometimes be a bit lax on the extreme lower panels, anything where I need to hold the rotary upside down. I`ll hit those with some PP on a PC to get them all squeaky clean, but unswirling them totally is way more work than it`s worth, it would add an hour or more for me to just get that part. I will fully polish them out if the customer is going to be in a show or something but other than that it`s too much hard work for minimal results. I also think the hood is the most important part, it`s what the customer will inspect most closely because it`s the largest horizontal panel (usually). The driver`s door is important also.

When it come to soccor mom van and those over size SUV school bus. I do all the side panels and very light job on the roof(the worst part). Those roof rack are PITA, so I try not to spend all day at them and beside who`s tall enough to see the roof on a Lin Navi .

Thumbs up Re: do u polish the ENTIRE car?

I like to find what my customers car care habbits are like before hand. If I know they have bad habbits and won`t take care of the car I`ll skip that step . I let them know why . There`s no sence in wasting your time and the customers money.
