Yep, no wash. 2 weeks ~300 miles. 1 highway trip, but mostly city driving and tons of rain. Behind the wheel wells there`s a little dirt, but besides that it still looks great.

So the deal is, i here from someone in the know. Opticoat 2.0 was ditched, reason being, cowboy detailers passing it off as Opticoat Pro and Optimum want to put a stop to it. Gloss coat gives a lot better look, but is sacrifices a hell of a lot of durability to do it. That is the inside scoop.

Re: Review: Optimum Gloss-Coat Paint Coating

I posted a review over on Autogeek, thought I`d just repost it here too...

Coated a car in Gloss Coat last week and as a beading wh0re (Sonax PNS, CarPro Reload, Gtechniq EXOv2 etc...) I can say it beads and sheets just as well if not better than these products. First wash I was very pleased with the results. Better water reaction than CQUK by itself for sure.

Prep was the usual... (car is a 2014 BMW M5)

    - CarPro Reset wash
    - Optimum Ferrex
    - Optimum Clay Towel w/ ONR lube
    - HD Adapt w/ Megs MF cutting pad (only select areas)
    - Optimum Hyper Polish w/ Orange Lake Country everywhere
    - CarPro Eraser
    - Gloss Coat

    Few iPhone pics:
