Just out of curiosity, I don`t suppose you were using cruise control were you? I`ve heard that if you hydro plane while using cruise control along with traction control or something along those lines, your car may react by trying to accelerate, causing a spin out.
this is a good point. you should never drive with cruise control on during any wet roads. you want to have full control of you accelerator during any rain to let up on speed in case of hydroplaning. i was always taught to never slam on the brakes either. a few things in my experience that has caused increased hydroplaning. tires being under inflated, worn tires and just plain ole bad spots on the highway.

WOW, I was expecting that perhaps you were polishing and recoating with something else.
I am sorry you has that miss hap, but glad your OK.
Too bad that car was really looking good.
So are you polishing the Camaro?
Re: :( Final Update On Optimum Gloss-Coat
sorry to hear this ray, but thank the Lord you`re still here in one piece. any other car would have been totaled, but I think a little compound and polish before you reapply some more gloss coat and you`ll be ok. :bigups

Lol If I`m left alone without anything to do for enough time, I am liable to polish anything. So my answer is maybe. I figure I have it for at least a couple weeks and I just got a box of pads that need to be reviewed so maybe. :)
Re: :( Final Update On Optimum Gloss-Coat
Might return it and pick up some new business if you don`t watch out.
Re: :( Final Update On Optimum Gloss-Coat
I`m glad your ok. But I am a little disappointed the gloss coat was not more protective ? Ya know. It really marred up that fender on impact. Perhaps you applied too thin lol.
Like I said glad your ok

I know I am late to the party - but glad to hear you are alright Ray! From what you described, it looks like the car did its job in keeping you safe!
Re: :( Final Update On Optimum Gloss-Coat
Thanks again everyone! :)
If you guys see anything smoking deals or cool cars let me know. I`m on the hunt for a new (to me) car/truck/motorcycle.
