Yeah, it is different...this is what they say about it: "Optimum Hyper™Wool Foam Pad is the first and only hybrid wool pad of its kind". It`s not like a PFW pad, it`s like a MF pad (in that it has a foam backing) but it`s got purple wool attached to the foam instead of MF.

Hyper Polish - Blue, New Hyper Compound - White, Old Hyper Compound now Intensive Polish is Orange. Still trying to sort through the waffle vs flat pad debate, but Optimum`s designs are very unique. Can`t wait to try the new HC along with the wool pad.

    Just heard back from Optimum...

The new Hyper Compound will be moved into #10/10 on the aggression scale and Hyper Polisher will be moved to #6/10.

The Polish Comparison Chart will be updated by the end of today.

Now I just have to remember that the old stuff was 5 & 8....and last year`s was 6 & 8...and this year`s is 6 & 10 with the Intensive at 8. That`s actually pretty interesting that the Hyper Polish (blue version) is now 2 steps more aggressive than the Optimum Polish II (crème).

And while you are at it, revisit the other brands too to add new launches and/or adjust the existing ones.

I actually think Ray is pretty on top of that, he put the Griot`s BOSS products in there not too long ago.

Lolz. I can`t keep up. I just like their lotion polishes. People seem to never have great luck with the sprayer.

Lake Country`s Purple Foam Wool pad from at least 10 years ago, has always been great at cutting and finishing down nicely with my Makita 9227C even on nasty Imron Airplane Paint..

Their Cyan Hydro-Shred pad is also very, very, good at cutting and really finishes down sometimes LSP ready on some paintwork..
I use lots of these pads with the aforementioned Makita and have yet to beat this combo..

Nice, I see the updated ones now that I`ve opened it after a month I guess.. A few to add would be:

    Dodo Juice Lime prime Plus
    M305
Sonax ex4/6 (its prior 4/6 version doesn`t seem to be listed correctly)
    Sonax cutmax
    Chemical guys V32
Wolfgang Uber AIO is at a surprising 6 level cut ( I thought it was a fine cut polish)

Not nitpicking but just being thorough and ensuring completeness to a chart thats goto for many..

On a side note, not sure why AG didn`t expand the Scholl concepts line further as its newer offerings (most of which are not offered on AG) are top notch.. S3XXL, S17+ and the latest S20 BLACK (which is making the rounds to be the king of one steppers with a high cut)... Although I did notice yesterday AG added the spider pads, so possibly more products from the range will follow...

Did you do this, Ray? Or are you waiting until the new products hit the store? Don`t forget to add the Intensive Polish at 8.

Re: Optimum Rejiggers Its Spray Polish Line Again?

I am sure I remember Chris Thomas saying the Hyper Polish was a tad less aggressive than their Polish II but cannot find the reference.

There is probably some creative alternative to the awful spray heads which would not doubt boost sales although I do not have a solution

Moving away from spray, I am "guessing" the carpro ceriglass type dispensing bottles (available with Corey) would help.

Re: Optimum Rejiggers Its Spray Polish Line Again?

I know this doesn`t align exactly with some of the information above, but RON@OPTIMUM posted the following information on their own forum recently.

    Optimum Polish "cut scale":
    Poli-Seal, Finish 2
    GPS 3
    Polish ll 4
    Hyper Polish, Primer 5
    Compound ll, Intensive Polish 8
    Hyper Compound 10

Yes, Primer began life as Hyper Polish and was tweaked to support Coating bonding. I`d guess GPS will have about half the correction of Hyper Polish.

Re: Optimum Rejiggers Its Spray Polish Line Again?

Hyper Polish has been the best overall polish for me. It just outperforms heavy hitters like HD Polish, M205, CarPro Reflect, Menzerna 4000. And with no dusting and super easy wipe off I find myself just skipping over the others and starting with HP. I HAVE NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH THE SPRAYER.
