Gloss coat spreads very far. I was able to get very even coverage using 5-6 CC`s on a carport applicator on a bentley brook lands that is a HUGE car. In perspective it took me 13 CC`s of Opti Coat pro to cover the same area. If you wife MDX has pano roof Jeff you`ll be fine with 10. And if you listen to me and run out I`ll send you some more

I did a 2003 suburban and used about 14-15cc of product. I DID NOT do the wheels tough.

Applied in late July, picture taken today, 4 days after an ONRWW wash. And my car color is hard to make look good, in person it looks really deep, rich and wet.

I think CQuartz UK is 1 year shelf and 6 months after opening. However I had some crystallizing after it had been open about 3 months. On Gloss Coat it says to destroy after single use (not sure about unopened) but I plan on testing some of my left overs (about a month and a half old) out on my wife`s wheels.

That`s referring to the syringe (not to reuse it for something else), not the product in it.

    re: Gloss Coat

We need to set a better baseline I think ---

When you say you used XXcc`s of product, please be sure to add what kind of applicator you used for the process, and how many coats were applied..

Certainly, the little round foam yellow applicator will soak up more product than a very thin suede cloth, or even a blue paper towel that is backed by something that does not soak up fluid at all..

Help us all get a better idea of how much product is actually on the vehicle and left over, by also telling us what applicator was used...

My long term experience with the Opti-Guard (Pro) and 2.0 versions is that as long as they are a clear liquid in the Syringe, they are still good to go..

    Thanks !

    Re: Gloss Coat

I have 2 tubes of gloss coat on the way to me. Once I get a break in the weather I have 2 opticoated 2.0 vehicles that need re coating. Before I recoat them I plan to use the reset shampoo I also purchased recently Bc people tell me it will bring back the OC 2.0. I will try that but honestly it has been 2 years plus and I`d be shocked if it started beading to my satisfaction. We will see.

If one tube cannot get me paint ( including jambs), wheels and trim -2 coats all surfaces I`m done with with Opticoat. I really think they should give you enough product so your not sweating coverage for that amount of money. They should also provide the best applicator for the job.

I ordered the CQuartz applicators per everyone`s suggestion. If I get the coverage on the whole MDX great. I will coat the subaru. If not I will complete the MDX with the 2nd tube and let you know. Perhaps I am worrying about nothing .
