Hi guys, I will be visiting New York on a mini break from the UK soon and figure it would be rude not to take 30 mins out of our itinery to pick up some cheap products. Can anyone recommend a store with a good selection within travelling distance to midtown manhattan?

Would only have time to visit one store so make it a good un !!

    Thanks in advance :xyxthumbs

Not sure what you mean by cheap, if "local" product from here gets marked way up getting across the pond, I guess our stuff here will be "cheap". The Poorboy`s headquarters is just outside of NYC, but you`ll pay list price. If you are looking for OTC Meguiar`s, Mother`s, etc., there are many Pep Boy`s, Strauss, AutoZone, etc. in NYC and the metro area. If you want a "true" detailing store, we have one out here in NJ who is a Meguiar`s and AutoMagic distributor, as well as some Collinite, and other stuff. He caters to large volume users as well as enthusiasts.

Sorry when I say cheap I just mean the normal price you guys pay, at best swap the $ for a pound sign and thats what we pay, at worst we pay significantly more!

I was hoping for an OTC store but perhaps with some megs or other pro grade products

No problem! A lot of other stores are in areas just outside Manhattan that you`ll have a crazy time finding not knowing the NY City transit system.

The places I mentioned are easy to find within Manhattan. You`ll love Strauss Automotive and Autozone! I just hope they are the same as the ones by me in New Jersey - big and loaded with car care supplies.

At Target, you`ll be able to get some supplies as well as sheepskin mitts and microfibers.
