    Basically I bought a CPO 2008 BMW 335XI,

The carfax was clean, however the car was definitley in an accident (minor) which looks like it required a respray of the drivers door/fender.

In direct sunlight the drivers side is two-different shades (for the keen).

I have never had a pleasant experience when it comes to respray on ANY car I have EVER had repainted...

Im looking for a quality paint shop, that can respray my car in the manner we all would expect.

Anywhere around the tri-state is good, the closer to Staten Island/Brooklyn the better...

I need some info here guys... I`ve corrected the car, and not only did the dealer wash it at my last service visit, but completely tore the paint up all over again.

The cars JetBlack, and I really think I need a quality respray of the entire car to keep me happy at this point..

Since I know there is no better group to ask, I am looking for my autopia car brethren to hook it up PLEASE!!

Dont be so quick to paint it, unless you are sure the paint is SHOT! Quality body shops are shops that use good paint. Like Sikkens, Spies Hecker, Glassorite to name a few. Look it up in the Better Business Bureau directory. See some of the cars any body shop turns out. Check the facility out before you drop any car for a repair. The shade difference you describe is and can be very common when it comes to black. It must have been a body shop trying to save money. They probably used DUPONT paint on your German BMW. Dont worry unless its a show car. Get it the best you can.

i highly recommend concours auto body in Pennsauken, NJ. They have a website if your interested in looking @ some of the cars they get due to their reputuation, and the owners actually do much of the work themselves. In most cases, they only take high end cars, as you`ll see on their site.
