Can anyone recommend a good detailing place they can trust to remove swirls in the Long Island area...I live in Nassau County but will go to anywhere to get these removed with-in driving distance.

I know of these places so far...

    1. Big A Detailing in Whitestone, NY

    2. Detailing Dynamics in Mineola (too much $$$)

So far i think im lining to Big A Detailing unless you guys can recommend a better place. Thanks

jsatek does amazing work - do some searching and you`ll see some nice turn arounds. jsatek and G35stilez did a BMW not too long ago that came out top notch.

If you are having issues with swirl removal Five Star Detailing can help!

We are a mobile detailing solutions company based out of Long Island, NY. We service both Nassau and Suffolk county.

What is the vehicle you are having issues with? Chances are those swirls can be removed by using a clay bar, a heavy compound, polish, then wax. What color is your vehicle??

If you have any questions drop us a line at: contact@fivestardetailing.com

Should you be interested in some of our recent work check out our detailing blog at Five Star Detailing Blog - Pictures, Reviews, and more. and you can see some of the "miracles" we`ve performed on painted surfaces and damaged clear coats on vehicles across Long Island.
You miss 100% of the shots you never take...

I know i`m reviving this thread from way back,

but i need some paint correction on my new car, and am not willing to do it on this car until i become more expierienced. i currently have a black 2003 grand cherokee to practice on., but even then, i don`t have enough time with work to get around to doing much of that.

    my location,

Port Jefferson, suffolk county, NY 11777

    my car

    2010 Volkswagen Golf/GTI

color = United Gray Metallic - 2 door

    services needed + description why

paint correction - the car was built in January and bought off the lot in March. I own expensive wash/clay/and wax`s. Ive used them about 6 or 8 times so far, but have stopped doing laborious protection until i can get the paint corrected. I don`t like applying protection over what i feel needs work.

what i see as needing to be corrected (please excuse my terminology, as i don`t really know how to word this greatly) is some swirl or scratch type marks when i look at really sharp angles under bright lights. for instance at certain gas stations at night time that use really white lights., i can see some straight line/slight bending scratch`s. These go totally unnoticed in the daytime, even after i looked really hard for them. I washed and waxed and then coudlnt find them at all until i went back to the gas station , sitting at the same pump and saw them.

I would also like a high quality long lasting sealant to be applied after the paint correction. one that will last atleast 2 months, that i can layer wax over. until I decide to strip it and start over.

products i have been using are -

    p21s

    autoglym

dodo-juice - havent applied there wax`s yet though

the car has never seen polish by me (or the dealer imo).

my email address is - mikeg6045@optonline.net please contact me if your close or on long island, so we can set something up.
