They get to be in the dark for the majority of the day. Actually, I turn it on when I come home around 4 or 5 and then turn it off around 10-11.

Do you leave the curtains/blinds open during the day? Sudden light changes will stress the fish out. If the fish scramble for cover when you turn the light on, the lighting change is too drastic!

Is that a Chrysler shirt you have on?

Yes they`re left open during the day. Is that bad? I figure it`s more natural for them. There`s a lot of trees in front of my window too.
