Wow, thread resurrection, kinda... haven`t seen new posts here for awhile.
CD`s in the `Vette`s changer (I LOVE THAT CAR!): Sum 41, Does This Look Infected?; Blink 182, Dude Ranch; Blink 182, Take off your Pants and Jacket; Adema`s CD; Linkin Park, Hybrid Theory; Linkin Park, Meteora; TRUSTcompany, The Lonely Position of Neutral; A New Found Glory, Sticks and Stones; (...). Yeah, I`m 18. That`s why some of you old folks don`t know what the hell I`m talking about. :p
Kinda getting into Trance now, as well. Anyone heard "Children 2002"? (It`s a remix of Robert Miles` "Children.")
Any Tool (or any of the subsidiary bands) fans here? Thats like the greatest band!! I`d go so far as to say that 15 years from now, they`ll be like Led Zepplin or some of the other great rockers are to us now.

Tunnel Trance by Orbital is my current favorite. Any catchy trance/techno tunes will do.

Paul Oakenfold - Ready Steady Go...especially after seeing The Bourne Identity yesterday. I`m usually not into the dance music and all that glow stick raver junk but the trance I`m seeing in a lot of car videos is pretty awesome. A nice change from the punk I listen to.
I want to get the soundtrack from Grand Theft Auto: Vice City - Wildside Pirate RadioOriginally posted by PrinzII
Hey Nagchampa, you are really taking me back to the old days. I recall a few of the songs by Afrikaa Bambataa and the Soulsonic Force that peeps used to breakdance off of.
Remember the stuff by Shannon (e.g. Let the Music Play, Give Me Tonight)?
Another song (not breakdancing related) I loved back in the `80s was "Confusion" by New Order
"Never walk into an environment and assume that you understand it better than the people who live there." - Kofi Annan after his first frigid Minnesota winter
I find that I listen differently depending on the weather...
BB King
Eric Johnson
Aimee Mann
Duke Ellington
Van Halen`s catalog from `78 to `84
Steve Vai especially "Alien Love Secrets" and "Ultra Zone"
Joe Satriani
countless hair bands (Warrant, Winger, Dokken)
David Lee Roth
U2`s Zooropa album
Rush`s entire catalog from `84 to present
Autechre
Aphex Twin
Squarepusher
David Gray
John Mayer
Norah Jones
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Pink Floyd`s work with Roger Waters
and myself.
I notice most of the music I like is soothing electronica or guitar oriented rock. I`ve been playing for 14 years and it`s hard to turn off the part of your brain that hears guitar playing
I like Eminem`s Superman for cruisin` and bangin`. I probably would follow that up with "Gimme Some More" by Busta Rhymes.
I currently have in my car CD player:
John Coltrane: A love supreme
Pogues: If I shall fall …
Compilation of Big Band music
Compilation of Louis Armstrong& Sinatra
Arnold: Six Scottish Dances
Rollin Stones: 40 Licks

I`d have to add U2`s Electrical Storm... Gee, I could go on forever.
