Last night why I was at Wally World home of Jerry Springer guests I spotted something interesting in between two large woman with tattoos.

Product name: 3M Scotch Brite High Performance Cleaning Cloth

85% Polyester 15% Nylon. The label even had washing directions. 12" x 14"

It was package to clean computer monitors and camera lenses.

    Cost = $3.99

Ok being the MF nutt that I am I bought it much to the chagrin of the GF who thinks I am nutts anyways.

Well it is not plush but has a sort of waffle weave. Very soft. almost suede like with a little nap like a Puberty stricken teen boy.

I used it on the monitor and eye glasses and Scotch glass last night.

Very good product and a cheap price. I may try to use it to buff my truck after removing my sealant in lieu of suede MF.

I say buy it and try it for $4 it ain`t bad and probably is th4e softest out there. It is not as plush as a CMA or YoSteve but I think this one has a different purpose.

Consider it a suede and you will be alright.

A couple years ago I picked up a 5 pack of the 3Ms (12x12 I think) for $9.95 at a Sams Club. The things are indispesable for cleaning and dusting around the house, but I never thought to use them on my car. I`m not sure how many varieties 3M makes, but these are similar to what you describe.

For that final wipe over to pick up all the fine dust left behind by various cleaning and polishing towels (won`t be happening anymore, I am getting MFs for everything now) I have been using the disposable dust wipe thingies and they work great.

BTW, I thought for a quick and easy interior clean I`d try the Armor All wipes :down My God it`s about the same as shaking out your vacuum bag in the car, lint all over everything - they are horrible!

I just checked and the ones I have seem to be the exact same as the one you purchased. 85-15 blend 12x14 size. I`m not sure if the 5 packs are still available at wholesale clubs or not.

New From The Valley of the Sun

Found my way here from a posting on the Cadillac CTS Owners Forum of Deep Gloss Auto Salon`s CTS-V Sport Wagon post. I can see there is a lot of good information on detailing.

Is there a listing of high end detailing shops here so a person could find one in their area? I know every car wash in town offers detailing, but I`m looking for one comparable to Deep Gloss. I live in the west Phoenix area.

Anyone tried Zymol Royale Glaze at $8,400? Shown on Amazon.com.

Welcome! It`s always nice to see others from our area! You can PM me about detailing if you want, since I`m a fellow Caddy owner (black CTS-V). Our cars are tough, for sure, but not impossible.
You will come to love this place; there`s a ton of great info and people on this board.
