I can only agree with what everyone else has said....definately no sponges for me, With a sponge, the dirt doesn`t have any place to go but against the paint. Go to Wall-Mart and pick up a Eurow washmitt.....I`ve heard a lot of good things about them on here, and they are readily available.
Hi guys, my name is Tom and I jut detailed my first car in 10 years... an original paint 380 sl. I am hooked again and I think I am going to start offering detailing along with my stone, wood, stainless steel restoration business. I had a high end detail business in st. Louis for quite some time , but now live in Vail, Co. I unfortunately will most probably be doing it mobile (something I swore I would never do) out of my ambulance, which has a truck mount hard surface cleaner in it that pumps out 240 degree watter and 3000psi if I want it to. Just need to get a better compressor and I am in business. What the hell..I still love it after all these years.
Welcome to TruthInDetailing Tom. We have lots of old timers here. Hope to see you around
Welcome to the family Tom.

We look forward to seeing some of your work.ancing Dot:

Welcome Tom and welcome back to the passion. Sounds like you got a great skill set. I love the sound of an ambulance as a mobile detail rig. Good luck and please feel wlecomed to ask anything here. This is a stellar group of pro`s, novices and amateurs and all are willing to share experience, opinions and sometimes just plain laughs. There are plenty of us "old timers" collected here as well!
I like the screen name also, surfacedr.
What color is the Mercedes?
