    An older, newer old guy

    Hey guys,

Just spent some time perusing the forums. Haven`t done that in a quite a while.

I must say, I`m really impressed. Great group of guys here, and the over all tone is quite a bit more friendly than the detailing site I frequent most often. What a refreshing change.

I was up in Gearhead and Jngrbrdman`s territory for a long time. Never did hook up with either one of them, though, and I really wish I would have. I did a lot of detailing up there as a side business for several years, both solo and with a friend of mine that lives up in Logan, Utah.

Now I`m in south west Utah, where my days of detailing high end cars have come to a screeching halt. Not much high end stuff down here, but there`s enough of us common folks wanting a clean ride to keep my dance card filled (right now, anyway).

Anyway, just thought I`d say "Hi" and all that.

    Thanks, gents.

Man, there is a *ton* of great information on this site. I`m gonna be reading for a long time...

Stephan, if you happen to play Halo3 on xBox Live (love your gamertag, btw), give "FloorPizza" a shout. My son (Al3xy) and I love to get on Halo3 for extended frag sessions.

Years ago, I was playing some flavor of Unreal Tournament when a guy blew me up. Guts all over the room. "Dood, you look like floor pizza!" he quipped. The name stuck.

St. George. We just moved here last September, but the lady we were renting from just got foreclosed on. The bank is giving us a pretty sweet "Cash for Keys" deal to break our rental agreement, so we`re in the process of packing the house and moving to another rental house here in St. George that has a HUGE three car garage. Gonna be a detailer`s dream! Plus I have a nice portable air conditioning unit that should help keep the desert heat at bay for a nice, cool summer`s worth of detailing.

It is nice to see something good come out of a foreclosure. Tough times are here that is for sure.

Keep tabs with us here at the city. I have to agree there are a lot of nice people on this site. Knowledgeable as well.

I myself mostly talk about it but still dabble and enjoy the pictures of everyone`s efforts when they post details. Hope to see some soon,

I felt the same way when joined DC a few months ago. Arguments and flaming other members was a daily thing on the forum I used to post on. After joining DC I haven`t even loggd on to the other site and doubt I ever will again. Great group of people here for sure.

Welcome back!! I started with the forums right here at DC and toggle back and forth between this one and AG but DC is my home forum. I see the numbers growing at AG and dwindling here at DC so I am glad to see you even though we never met before.

Wow, what a great welcome... thanks, gents! Kinda reinforces my first impression of this being a friendly site.

Still a bit overwhelmed at all the great info here. Still taking notes on a lot of it.
