Is you camper trailer gel-coated fiberglass OR painted (or powder coated?) sheet-metal exterior?
I ask because gel coat, as a rule, is super-hard and generally requires a rotary polisher to correct scratches and deeper swirls effectively in that surface substrate. You MIGHT be able to use a microfiber-type correcting pad and a Long-throw dual action polisher (something with a 15mm or 21mm throw) and a correcting compound, like Collinite No. 631 Fleetcut Compound. for that purpose.
