Welcome, Julian! Wow, you’re out past the Finger Lakes. I love it up in that region. My brother’s near Seneca Lake.

Welcome. I’m from Syracuse originally, college in Buffalo. Still visit the central and western NY regions regularly. Hope you learn a lot here.

    jcdata:
Welcome to the Autopia forum. You`ve come to the right place to learn about vehicle cleaning and detailing, including that for your motor coach.
When you say "motor coach", I assume it is big and has a fiberglass exterior, but I am guessing. RV vehicle "name" terminology or designations get blurred or mixed up because a fifth-wheel may be considered a trailer or even a pull-behind and a motor coach may be a motor home, a motor coach custom-made on a semi-tractor cab with a custom frame and rear axle, or a custom conversion of a coach bus into a motor coach, some getting to be rolling-mansion-on-wheels. My family as a young person growing up had a camper that slid into the back of a pick-up truck box and had an extension sleeping area over the truck cab and hung 18 inches beyond the rear of the box. Was much better than a tent when it rained, but the gas mileage was about 8-10 MPG at best (1979 Ford F-250 with a 460 engine. My father purchased this truck in the early spring right before the oil crisis & gas shortage of that year in May. Thanks President Jimmy Carter). That thing was top heavy and swayed a lot, even with a F-250 frame and suspension.

One thing to keep in mind is because this forum has been around so long, the SEARCH menu is your friend. You can find a lot of relevant detailing information on number of detailing tasks problems that you may encounter OR asking about specific detailing products.
Then there is the member "how-to" thread section that seems to be overlooks by many new members.

That said, don`t be afraid to ask questions. Lots of questions come up on detailing topics or problems that are constantly re-occuring. I tend to attach links to older thread discussions or even a new one, now and then. One of the biggest new-to-detailing questions is:
"How do I get started and what do I need to get started?" Again, the SEARCH menu is your friend on this.

But we are all here to help and make detailing more enjoyable and easier for you.
One caveat that I think ALL Autopians in this forum will agree upon is, like any hobby or activity, you can spend a lot of time and money on it, depending how "serious" it becomes to you. That`s up to you and like I said, you`ve come to right place to do so.
