    Hello from Illinois

Hey there! I`ve been on this forum forever, but my old login and password are long gone, so I figured I`d re-register and start participating again. My newest car is a 2017 BMW X3 35i M sport, Carbon Black metallic. I`ve already had to correct a bunch of buffing holograms that a dealership hack put in. Cheers!

Welcome, back! Do you remember your old username, or that was real long ago? Either way, happy that you are here now.

Good question! I was posting about 12-13 years ago when I had 2 black cars with very different paint (Corvette and BMW Jet Black.)

    Welcome back, Ad Cam.
How did you use to "correct" your carbon black BMW X3?? What did you use for a polisher/buffer machine, pad type and manufacturer, and compound & polish manufacturer?
Never mind: I see your new thread with pics! https://www.autopia.org/forums/click...-metallic.html

I assume being in Illinois you are a Bears/Cubs or WhiteSox/Bulls/Blackhawks fan, BUT with the current state of professional sports activities or lack thereof, that "fans" have found "other" interests, like car detailing! (Yes, I am a Green Bay Packer`s fan; I live 5 blocks from Lambeau Field.)

I was born and raised in Michigan so I`m always Lions/Tigers/Red Wings. Don`t care too much about the NBA anymore! The pads I used were Chemical Guys Hex Logic. The Meguiars polishes I used were leftovers from when I had to polish the old sun faded paint on my `76 C-10. Being a Lions fan I hope Aaron Rodgers retires soon.

    Thanks for the info!

Hey, if HOF Brett Farve can end up as a Viking, who knows where A-Rod will end up... Tom E. Brady Jr. at Tampa Bay? Not in my lifetime.
Yes, I have ardent Lions fans in my wife`s family and for good reason; her nephew was drafted by the Lions in 2003 after playing for the UW-Madison Badgers. Only made the practice squad and then bounced around the NFL`s development European Football League.
