    Greetings from TN

Just a old geezer here trying to learn more about taking better care of my cars. Have owned a Flex for awhile and hope to improve my techniques. Looking forward to learning how to polish tiny pits out of windshield glass for starters and developing better methods for touching up paint chips.

Welcome aboard - Search for Ceriglass (that`s the product, made by Carpro I think) - I remember a few posts discussing the process a while back.

What part of TN you in? Sorry if I sound nosy...my wife is from Memphis and I have in-laws all over the state, from one end to the other.

Between Nashville and Knoxville. Only lived here for a couple of years. Moved here from Colorado where the wife and I did not enjoy the high cost of vehicle registration, state income tax and high property tax among other things. We can live in TN for about $1,200 a month less than we did in CO.

Though I can also understand the appeal(s) of CO, most everybody I know in TN loves it. TN in general seems headed for some good times, hope your area benefits (guessing that it will given your location).

    Re: Greetings from TN

Good Day @RandyinTN I am located out of Knoxville, and frequent the plateau for work. We do live in a supremely beautiful place. I love to detail, and am learning more every day. Have a small side business that keeps me as busy as I enjoy, and affords me the opportunity to ride motorcycles... mostly at the track, but i do get to the dragon at least once a week.

Would be really happy to meet you some day, there are a few folks on here from around knoxville. We share techniques, products, and a beer now and again`

    glad to have you here.
Thanks RandyinTN thanked for this post

    Re: Greetings from TN

I am a meer rookie when it comes to detailing. Bought my Flex about 7-8 years ago only because a C6 Corvette I bought had some scratches on the hood when it was delivered. Didnt want the dealer to touch it so did it myself. Luckily none of the scratches were deep enough to feel. Sold my last bike last year. Did a solo ride from Kentucky to Anchorage Alaska about 12 years ago and it was a blast. Getting to old to gear up and ride hard anymore so my fast days are limited to driving my Chevy (Holden) SS sedan.
