    New to Detailing in NJ

I found out about this site from your sister site Autogeek.
I have a 2014 Ram 1500 that I recently bought and started looking up detailing info and it has become my new obsession.

So after buying it I had installed some Westin ProTraxx Stainless nerf bars and after having the truck less than 2 months already have scratches where someone got sand on their shoes and stepped on the metal and not the foot pad. I have tried to buff it out with my DA and Megs UP but it did nothing.

    Hoping someone has some suggestions!

Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

welcome to AF! it kinda depends on how deep the scratches are. if they are too deep, you may need to actually sand them to start and follow up with compounding and final polishing. what pads are you using?

I used Lake Country Orange Flat pads with the Ultimate Polish.

    Welcome
What part of NJ you from.
    Im South outside Philly.
I would maybe try Ultimate Compound. Do a test spot where you cant see before doing that visual area. (Just to be sure its not too scratchy)

    Welcome to the madness!

Now, if you will excuse me, I must go pray for wisdom from the Meguiar`s gods.
