Hey i own a 76 Porsche 911S (model 930) and i have a problem with it... seems to me that after driving it really fast, it doesnt wanna start sometimes... actually it usually doesnt ever start after turning it off after a really fast drive. if i drive it slow and normal, it starts fine. However, i like to drive it hard and fast, so what seems to be the problem? I was thinking my fuel lines might be sludgy, or it could be my fuel pump.. but if my fuel pump was bad, then why would it work sometimes and not others? or how about the spark plugs? maybe cuz they`re old then it`s causing the car to malfunction a little? i`m not sure, but i need some help

    thanks

If I remember correctly these cars had a problem with overheating.

    Check the temp gauge.

Which model do you really have?

The title states a 911S, while you mention model 930. Those are two very different models.

I would go to a Porsche specific forum (Pelicanparts.com, Rennlist.com, etc.).

IIRC wasn`t this a common problem with Porsches in the 70`s? It was with mine.

It was something to do with a relay, but after 30+ years I can`t remember which one.

No. In `76, Porsche made the Turbo Carrera and the 911S. These are very different models.

It sounds to me like a problem with the ignition or ignition coil.
