hey i`ve been surfing Autopia for quite some time an finally ready to try out detailing myself. I`ve been a car enthusiast for most of my life but now i want to change it up. Instead of liking/loving cars i want to take care of them.



i was wondering i know there alot of thread for newbies such as I but I`d appreciate if anyone could lend me a hand with question i have. i`ve seen alot of newbies get pretty much told out to check the thread but im more of a lehmans terms type of guy. so if i can go to anyone with quick question that would be appreciated.



i drive a 03` Mazda Protege 5, but i plan to take car of my families cars also. Forester, wrx, v70, another protege.

um i just had a quick question



im looking at a used regular Milwaukee polisher but its not an orbital. price is 65 shipped, should i dish out the extra moola and get a UDM? can anyone recommend a cheap orbital polisher?



and for car washing. is there a thread to see what you guys use for washing. like what to wash the car with, dry it off, soap, mitt, foamgun etc etc etc

p.s I`m heading to NYC in a few months...so I will look out for ur cars! last time I was there....the drivers are crazy... haha... driving in and out of traffic like its a last lap of the season! :lol
