That color is a Sport Red Metallic. The dealer said that it only comes with the Z71s but I think they have changed that up....don`t see many cars with that color out there though!!

Hi JennaBear,
Great looking Tahoe you have. We have a 2000 Tahoe (two tone Blue & Silver). The hardest part to keeping it clean is the roof height. I recently acquired this work platform:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...&s=hi&n=507846
It is a bit pricey and there are less expensive platforms that will work. I like this one because it has a 500 lb capacity which allows my wife and I to get on it at the same time. It is nice to stand comfortably and clean all around the roof rack.
I`ve used NXT and liked the look it gave as it darkens the blue a bit but without a garage, durability became an issue so I went back to Liquid Glass. It really makes the blue pop.
The 80/20 rule applies to detailing.
I hear ya on the roof....it is a PITA to get the roof but thankfully I am 5`9" and I also have use of my nerf bars and rear bumper!
WOW! A gal that enjoys taking care of her vehicle....be still my pounding heart!
I feel the need to take care of the Tahoe since it was my first big purchase!! Come to find out I enjoy spending time washing and waxing it but best of all is seeing the end result!
The truck looks real good. I like the metalic red.

Thanks for the compliments guys! As for the wheels, they are Weld Evo Cheyenne 6s. I was torn between those and the Weld Velocitis. The Cheyennes kinda grew on me the more nad more I looked at em!
Poorboys is great you should also look into Adam`s polishes, I`ve gotten great results from both.....
Nice truck and welcome, what tires are you running on those wheels?
a Very Nice Truck WOW
Welcome, Jenna! It`s great to have another woman join the forum. As others have said, this is a very helpful and friendly site. Great work on your truck! I,too, would recommend the Poorboy`s line to start up and learn with. I have the SSR`s and learned to use them along with learning the PC. Some other things to look into: A good wash (PB`s SSS is great, also Meg`s GC is cheap and useful) QEW for medium soiling, waterless wash for winter and the ever so essential PB`s S&W for light work on multiple surfaces. S&G is also essential to me for gloss enhancement and spit shining. I think those wheels would be well served with some PB`s wheel sealant. EX would do great on that truck for a sealant and I love Natty`s wax as well as ProPolish with or without carnuba (mine is without). I am also a fan for PB`s TR and NL. Poorboy`s is learner friendly, sun safe (essential for me) and produces great results. Watch and learn how the really talented people on this forum accomplish their work and focus on their processes. It`s process rather than product that does the real job and brings out the best results and the people here are wonderful about sharing and I`ve learned tons (and spent a chunk of change as well...it`s so addictive!) and really enjoyed making my cars look their best. Enjoy!
Welcome to Detail City. Lots of action here. I just joined a couple of days ago and have learned so much. Everyone out there is AWESOME. Your truck looks great and I am positive it will get to the next level no doubt.
Take Care!
Vince
