As we say in Nippon: YOKOSO!! ("Welcome" in your strange tongue).

If you don`t mind, here`s my bit of advice: skip the PC, and get yourself a Cyclo Polisher instead - you`ll get far better results (not to mention satisfaction). The extra cost is well worth it. I recommend two sets of white, orange and wool pads (skip the green and yellows).

    Happy detailing! Jya, ne !!

    Thanks guys,

I have now been even more confused by the recommendation of the cyclo !! I was set to get a PC !! I think it will just come down to price, i realise that the cyclo seems a better more robust quaility piece of machinery, but for the amount i will use it (just my car....., then my folks, then my bros, then the inlaws, then the neighbours !!!!!) I think the PC is still the one for me, the money saved will allow me to buy the das and sfx pads and 4" spot pads giving me a good base on which to start my polishing !! I think if i was doing it more professionally rather than a hobby the cyclo machine would be a better bet ?

    Cheers

I would go for the PC first and step up later for the reason`s you mentioned.

There are a lot of good PC + Pad kits out there and it won`t set you back too much.

After you`ve used the PC awhile you can always step up but many find it more than adequate for their needs.

Sorry about that! You will save a lot by opting for a PC, of course. I`m not a professional, but the performance of the Cyclo won me over, and I almost never touch my dual action sander (which is what a PC is, in fact) anymore. Whichever you buy, you`ll have a ball!!:buffing:
